On the 5th of April these challenges were discussed by a group of high-level experts from around Europe. The dynamic seminar took place during Change Makers Lab, a sustainability event arranged by H&M in Berlin. Eric Hannon, partner at McKinsey in Frankfurt, introduced the seminar with a brief summary of the conclusions from the Pathways study on how global heavy-duty transports can transition in time to fulfil the Paris agreement. Three panels then discussed how European leadership can ensure a turn-around and a rapid transition, which solutions will be the most important, where in the value chain should which actions be taken, who will pay the price, how can cooperation be a tool to meet the challenges and are the right decisions taken by the European politicians to support the speedy transition needed.
